If Obama thinks he can exploit, poke fun at, and kill my child with DS, I have a word, or two for him…

In 2009, Barack Obama made one of his Hollywood pandering stops to be on the Jay Leno show. Instead of talking policy, or economy, Obama decided to talk about his bowling game. LifeNews.com reports that Obama joked about his score being way too low—only 129. “That’s very good, Mr. President,” Leno quipped. Obama then remarked that his score was “like the Special Olympics or something.”

As the mother of a wonderful little boy by way of adoption who happens to have Down Syndrome, I can tell you that Obama trounced on sacred ground that day. Add to my horror his eager endorsement of post birth abortion, where a baby is killed outside the womb. Never a woman has been saved by that procedure, and Obama makes no excuses for his endorsement of these eugenics. More than 90% of babies with Down Syndrome are already aborted. That is why it took my husband and I more than 10 years to adopt our Samuel. Think of all the babies that were killed while we waited those 10 long years!

Obama would like you to forget about that because he wants to parse up the American public and create groups of voters that he thinks are too stupid to know he can control them. From poor people that he enslaves with his empty promises of prosperity that they will never know in their state of slavery, to old people who will march cheerfully into their death panels under Obamacare, this is all about votes for Obama.

While he was out fishing for more groups to spin into his web, he thought that he would be smart to try to convince families of people with Down Syndrome that he cares. Most families of loved ones with Down Syndrome are smart enough to know that if someone wants you dead, they likely don’t care about you. Undaunted, a narcissistic Obama has no humility, and he exploited a 25-year-old young woman named Brittany for votes. He shares her as the “Letter of the Week” for his campaign. The letter was written by her mom and a friend, and claims that Brittany is in the 47% of voters that Romney calls “entitled” and “unable to take responsibility for (her) life.” Brittany has Down Syndrome.

When her mother decided to send the letter, she mentioned that Brittany would like a POTUS/FLOTUS visit to their home of Pennsylvania, and also that they would like to stay in the White House. One wonders what freebies Brittany’s mother has her eye on, when she uses her daughter in defense of a man who would not blink if she had killed her before, or after her birth.

In addition to this latest, brutal exploitation of this young woman, many of us who know just how much extra joy is in that one little chromosome wonder when Obama is going to apologize to us for condoning the loss of so much joy by the eugenics he endorses? We wonder when the holocaustic, search and destroy mission imposed on our loved ones will be memorialized? We wonder what the Obamacare death panels will do with our babies when we are no longer here to defend them, and they have Alzheimer’s disease (more than 70% of adults with Down Syndrome get the disease)?

Most mothers of children with Down Syndrome see right through the lies and disguise of this campaign, to the heart of a eugenicist.

As for my family, we don’t write letters for our Samuel. One day, if he is able to write them for himself, I am sure he would sign a big thank you note to those who loved people like him enough to call this exploitation exactly what it is. I am sure he will care more about his family’s budget, than how much money Mitt Romney has earned. I believe he will be too smart to think that he can get something for nothing, and to know that free stuff is never free. I am sure Samuel knows the difference between someone who loves you, and someone who thinks it is okay to kill you. Finally, I am sure Samuel knows that the champions in the Special Olympics have more heart, more joy, and more courage than those who would dispose of their lives could ever, ever have.

These things are pretty simple. Meanwhile, I don’t advise that Obama show up to any Special Olympics events. He might find out the hard way that Special Olympians are a lot smarter than he is, bowling notwithstanding.

It is time to expose just how little the left thinks of human life. The liberal view allows for the convenience of life, ie normalcy and has little concern for those lives who may face challenges, may not be as productive over a lifetime or to be really crude, those who situations will require more services and resources and hence more costly. Their view is to cater to the here and now with little understanding or concern of how precious life is. The gov’t has meddled too much into our lives as it is. Let the religious views of those to whom it matters be their guidance and let the medical people apply their expertise to help those who seek their counsel. There should be no room nor need for the gov’t to be involved. Sadly, when 2014 arrives and if Obamacare is till the law of the land, all bets are off!

Parenthood research arm. The latest update has that closer to 56 million.

This number of deaths is an extraordinary 42 times the total number of Americans who died in all the wars since the Revolutionary war in 1775.

My wife was an OB/GYN nurse who strived with her team to save babies often during difficult births. She left that specialty when in an adjacent room, doctors were killing fetuses because of DS or simply because the mother chose not to take to term.

There is something really wrong that people can’t vote without a voter ID card.Every person has to have some kind of identification for everything already, so what is the big stink about voter ID cards? Obama is pandering for the Hispanic vote and some of them are so uneducated that they don’t even know how to vote. Everyone out there go to your voting district and” VOTE ” on November 6,2012.

Many years ago while my father still lived, my parents adopted not one, but five handicapped children and one “normal,” or so we thought. Yes, I know, that’s a politically incorrect term as we are supposed to say “challenged,” but I don’t believe in sugar coating the truth. Two of the boys–now of adult age, but child minds–have Downs Sydrome. Another one is severely autistic. The fourth was a child of a mother strung out on LSD and has numerous disabilities. The other two are girls–one born with cerebral palsy. The “normal” one had a mother with mental illness and although she seemed fine as a baby, as she grew older she developed more and more problems. She is in her late 40s now and has grand mal epileptic seizures. All of these people, including the autistic one, responded to love and security. Three of the “boys” still live with my now 80 year old mother. She provides a home for them and they each have their sets of chores which keeps the household running more or less smoothly. The girl with cerebra palsy had additional problems including learning disabilities, but she has been able to get married and has one perfectly healthy child of her own. The other one–now epileptic, ran away and got married–twice, both times to abusive men and the marriages didn’t last. Nevertheless she gave birth the three healthy children two girls, and one boy. She was in our home from the time she was 3 days old, and we adopted her when she was 6. Her children are now adults, all happily married with healthy children of their own. The oldest–has six kids, all healthy, although one girl is just mildly autistic. Under Obamacare, life expectency wouldn’t have been great for any of them, including my mother.

I don’t have the words to express how deeply ignorant this tirade is. It is the worst kind of hyperbole that has no basis in fact. In fact, one could argue that Obamacare which would allow your daughter to keep her health insurance for life with no life time limits is more caring than the nothing republicans have to offer.     1. The author doesn’t list any bills or policies promoted by the President or any speeches he gave that would lead any rational person to believe he is for eugenics.
    2. The author uses one distasteful joke made by the President as a jumping off point to accuse of him really awful things, again, with no attributions.
    3. There are no, nor were there ever death panels. This was made up by Sarah Palin and has been thoroughly debunked.
    4. The people making comments here not only took this story to be factual but went so far as to make comments about the President that I thought went beyond the pale, again without any facts to make their case. I don’t believe that is a very christian way of doing things.
    5. I didn’t attack anyone. To any rational person this article is a tirade. That, by itself isn’t bad. What makes it so bad is that if one is going to accuse another of a policy of eugenics then there should be a fairly airtight case to back it up. In the absence of that it becomes hyperbole.
    6. Since there are no facts in this article then the purpose of it can only be to incite the readers to anger.
    
    As for you, Fed Up:
    1. Spelling and grammar matter. If you want to be taken seriously then learn how to write coherently and use a spell check.
    2. Facts are really cool. There are lot’s of places to get them without any political bias’s or slant. The economy is better. The economy could be even better if the republicans hadn’t blocked critical legislation or negotiated watered down versions so the democrats could avoid filibusters. Every non-political economist agrees with this. Europe, which did what the republicans wanted to do here, is looking at a double dip recession.
    3. I didn’t call anyone names or question their religion. I was angry and it showed. Your little tirade show’s a deep ignorance and fanaticism that I find quite scary.

      All you have to do to know that Barry is in favor of destroying innocent life is look at his voting record in the Illinois Senate and his early interviews. He discussed his reasons for voting against the ban on partial birth abortions and providing life-saving assistance to babies who survive botched abortions. He felt that if the mother came to the facility to end her pregnancy, then that is what should happen.

        Abortion used to be illegal and women and babies died because of it. There simply isn’t a justification for the government to cause more harm than good.
        The thing that gets me is that you guys are approaching this from the wrong direction and I can’t understand why you don’t see it.
        There are things that you can change and things that you can’t. You aren’t going to get rid of abortion. Making it illegal will only drive it underground and create more problems than it solves. Your constant hate speech, crazy conspiracy theories and arguments unsupported by facts drives people away from you. There is another way.
        Start with the premise that no one really wants to get an abortion but will under certain circumstances. Forget about using religion as an argument. Not everyone shares your beliefs and that’s Ok because because no one really wants to get an abortion and that’s what you want to affect. Find things that you can affect that will lower the number of abortions. Comprehensive sex education in school helps lower the number of teenage pregnancies. It does not increase promiscuity it lowers it. There are studies. Look them up. Simply sending kids to preschool makes a huge difference over the course of their entire lives. There are studies showing that poor kids who attend preschool have a lower rate of unwanted pregnancies, greater high school graduation rates, greater numbers who go on to attend college, higher incomes and lower crime rates. I have heard many experts say that you can build preschools today or jails in twenty years. Make adoption cool and get rid of the stigma of giving up your baby for adoption. This is actually a monumental task but I’m sure there is a way to do it over the long haul. There’s more but you should be getting the picture by now.
        I really don’t understand why there is so much hate on this site. I don’t understand why you guys can’t have real conversations with people who disagree with you. It’s almost like you WANT to be angry and abortion/conservatism vs. liberalism is the thing your using to justify your hate. Dr. Loudon’s article DOES NOT make sense and isn’t justified. The only reason that I can come up with for Dr. Loudon to write this article is to incite people to anger so that they will listen to her radio show and come to this site. It’s really about a paycheck not abortion and all her listeners/readers that don’t think critically about what she says fell for it.

This so-called article is the worst kind of hyperbole that has no basis in fact. The President made a bad joke which he apologized for. The rest of the article is nonsense designed to enrage people who don’t read anything outside of their bubble. It could be argued that Obamacare that would allow your daughter to remain on your health insurance for an extended period of time, then get her own healthcare (in spite of her pre-existing condition,) and no lifetime limit is far more humane and caring than the republican alternative which is no reform. Also, some of the comments made here are reprehensible and yet they are allowed to stay.

Dear Gina, Ever since I heard you on the radio in BHM, I have been amazed by your optimism, energy and faith, especially regarding Samuel. You have a rare quality of being able to look beyond the outside to see the spirit. It is only the liberals and the Darwinists that count a person’s life valuable only if there is some utilitarian use for it. But our wonderful Father, Son and Holy Spirit created us to be. And who is to say what is a disability or an ability. Some may march to a different drum, see the world from a different perspective, but if they can give love and receive it, they have it all. In all of our busyness, we sometimes forget why we are here. The chief purpose of man is to love God and enjoy Him forever. I know your whole family, and especially Samuel, does that so well. I would just like to say to the commenter, I can’t remember who, who side that the left is at war with the living, and that liberals are only concerned with normalcy and how little they think of human life… how dare you. It’s just like lumping all Republicans into one category of rich Christian racists. We all know that not everyone fits that specific type of republican, so why should you say that all liberals have no care for human life?
I for one am a college student, a wife-to-be, a liberal (surprise, surprise?), and on top of all of that, I serve Jesus Christ, who is my Lord and Savior. Many think it is impossible that you can be Liberal AND a Christian. Well. Let me tell all of you who think that… it IS possible. It is possible because I believe that while this nation was founded on Christian beliefs, it was ALSO founded with the promise of freedom of religion… to believe what you choose to believe (or not believe, if that’s the case). The times have changed, and what’s right for the church, is not right for running a country anymore.
ALSO, I would like to mention, that I believe human life is so, so precious. This is coming from a liberal who’s only goal in life is to be a mother. A mother of any child God gives to me, because children are gifts. I agree – not all people have this mentality about human life, and that’s too bad for them. For those who abort a fetus because it will endure a life of hardships mentally and physically? I pray for those women and families, because it had to have been a hard choice for them. Not everyone has the patience, or more importantly, the financial means to take on such a responsibility. Not everything is so one sided as you all make it seem.
I would also like to say how very much I disagree with the bulk of this article. While President Obama did make a snide remark about the Special Olympics, this was years ago, and on top of that, he apologized for it, which the author makes no mention of. So there’s that. You’re just rehashing an old story everyone’s heard. Nothing new.

  Thank you. And also, it diminishes the writer’s believability to have referred to death panels, which do NOT exist and are not a part of the Affordble Care Act/Obamacare. I have had so many patients that have not communicated with their families what their desires are at end of life so far as what “machines” and measures to take. It is very impt to truly think about these things and discuss them with your family so that they feel comfortable doing what you yourself desire. Healthcare is so complicated and people feel so overwhelmed. Remember, it is your life and body and you can aid your loved ones greatly if you discuss as a family what you believe is impt. If you are brain dead, do you want to be on a respirator? Your family estate planner can help you put it into writing.
