    The electoral College also, shields one state from the Fraud that occurs in another state. If it is just a popular vote count…fraudulent votes in Detroit or Chicago would nullify votes somewhere else.. You get enough fraudulent votes, and you could nullify whole regions of the country. (And I think that is one main reason Dems are pushing for the Popular vote replacing electoral College).
