Missouri PolitiChick Lisa Payne-Naeger says she has spent most of her adult life being “unwittingly pulled into the political realm”. While she would have, in the early years, described herself as apolitical, like most mama-grizzly types who are engaged in the grassroots awakening, she became involved, in the political realm, because she wanted to make a better way for her children. When her children grew to school age, she was elected to her public school board, during a time when the national spotlight was scrutinizing its various financial mismanagement and malfeasance. There she received a crash course in bloated bureaucracy, teacher’s unions, and the misnomer of “public education.” Needless to say, homeschooling became the next chapter in her life. Just when you get comfortable with your surroundings, life has a way of shaking things up, and that’s what happened to Lisa. While she spent the next several years as a wife, and homeschooling mom, she eventually found herself in the middle of a very controversial, contentious and public divorce. Again under the national spotlight, she received another crash course in the corruption of the family courts and judicial system. Her experiences in fighting government corruption and bureaucracy led her to the Tea Party and Grassroots movements. Now Lisa works to educate and inform members of the Grassroots movement, and others, through activism, being a citizen lobbyist, writing for Examiner.com, (http://www.examiner.com/political-buzz-in-st-louis/lisa-payne-naeger) blogging, hosting a weekly internet radio program and working with the Grassroots activist organization, Missouri Grassroots Coalition. She is thrilled to be part of the PolitiChicks network and looks forward to being part of and helping along the revolution that empowers the people to retake control of their out-of-control government.
