Issa to Obama: Either you’re involved in Fast and Furious or your executive privilege claim is unjustified

In a letter obtained by The Daily Caller, House oversight committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa pressed President Barack Obama directly on his assertion of executive privilege over documents related to Operation Fast and Furious.

“[Y]our privilege assertion means one of two things,” Issa wrote to the president in a letter dated June 25. “Either you or your most senior advisors were involved in managing Operation Fast & Furious and the fallout from it, including the false February 4, 2011 letter provided by the attorney general to the committee, or, you are asserting a presidential power that you know to be unjustified solely for the purpose of further obstructing a congressional investigation.”

Issa said Obama’s assertion of executive privilege “raised the question” about the veracity of how the “White House has steadfastly maintained that it has not had any role in advising the department with respect to the congressional investigation.”

    It’s about time that someone in Congress started to take this president to task for his posturing on this issue.  Either you were involved or you weren’t. And if you say you weren’t, and if you continue to maintain that the Bush admnistration was at fault, then show the proof of this and vindicate yourself.

    This should be on every news show because it lays it out simply to the the American people. The republican party needs to use this as a talking point. My guess is that the liberal media won’t touch it with a 10 foot pole.

    Obama has counted on Congress being impotent.
    He has disregarded the Constitutional separation of powers radically assuming greater control over the apparatus of Government to revise or refuse to enforce legislated mandates of existing laws past by Congress anfd signed by prior Presidents and issuing “Executive Orders” and “Regulations” to ‘rule’,.

    He has orderd military action against a foreign country without even talking to Congressional leaders.
    He has ruled the Senate in recess to make an appointment he knew would not be approved even though THE SENATE WAS ACTING SPECIFICALLY TO AVOID A RECESS STATUS, SO AS TO PREVENT THE ABILITY TO APPOINT WITHOUT THEIR APPROVAL.

    NONE OF OBAMA;S “CONTEMPTUOUS” ACTIONS WERE “radical” ENOUGH TO GET THIS CONGRESS TO ACT to maintain their Constituional role..
    THIS CLEARLY EMBOLDENED OBAMA TO CLAIM “executive privaledge” TO PORTECT HOLDER.
    Representative ISSA has hit the nail on the head. Obama has in fact demonstrated his Contempt for Congress and the American people by either:
    A false claim of ExecutivePrivaledge to hide his involvement in “FAST AND FURIOUS” –
    OR-
    Using his Privaledge to keep the specifics of the FAST AND FURIOUS” crimes and his involvement from becomig known to Congress and subsequently to all US citizens..
    Issa is almost alone among in Congressinoal leadership..Again the main stream media ignores this obvious Obama radical approach and stays silent.
    Pray America’s citizens are not as easy to fool this time around and will see the real Radical Obama
    and will send him into the past to be forgotten as a bad mistake.

      Oh, you mean like the birthed issue? Nothing will come out of it either even though it too is the truth. How about nothing will come out of the unbelievable waste of monies on the Obama family running all over the world on our dime with the family members listed as senior advisors.

    Obama speaks with forked tongue:
    The white house was not involved or were we aware of fast and furious until it was reported in the news. Executive priveledge can only be used if they were aware and or involved.
    We cannot, you know, change the immigration rules on our own because there are laws passed by Congress about enforcing immigration. We will not arrest or deport about 800,000 illegals because we don’t like the present laws.
    The military has always prohibited members of the military in uniform from participating in political activities. We will make an exception for military members in uniform to march in gay parades.
    and the list goes on and on and on.

And if romney – pardons – that muslim trash, I would love to see him recalled , or penalized some way for it . This country needs some heads to roll for all this destruction they have wrought .
